This is something that I would like to do but always chicken out because I simply don't know what to make.

Thanks,

BeanBeanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14484707482492844677noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12633241.post-17081825319310174462012-05-18T09:06:29.321-04:002012-05-18T09:06:29.321-04:00I don't know that I consciously pray for the f...I don't know that I consciously pray for the family as I prepare a meal, but I certainly think the act itself is a prayer, an offering of mercy. We just took two meals to families this week. It is a simple way to let a family know you are thinking of them, whatever the need, without really intruding. People have to eat and we all enjoy not having to cook. I would encourage everyone to not just think of offering a meal when someone has a baby or is recovering from surgery, but just when you can. We all probably know a busy single mother who could use a night off from preparing a meal, or a family that is just busy, busy in service to others, and so on. Food is a love language, in my opinion.

Glad your recovery is going well! Don't get too ahead of yourself though--I'm sure you still need to take it slow!nicolehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06605426195521274662noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12633241.post-48041715359954166132012-05-18T08:50:32.948-04:002012-05-18T08:50:32.948-04:00Bean, that's so sweet! They are treasures for sure.
Since I'm not good at stitching, I'll have to stick to enchiladas :)Barb Szyszkiewiczhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00329184613713551475noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12633241.post-48758860096354678632012-05-17T16:05:16.746-04:002012-05-17T16:05:16.746-04:00Oh Barb you are so right. I make many baby quilts, and knitted baby items for my own grandchildren, and for shower gifts, and believe me I always pray for the new mom and dad and the new baby. I feel when I give a quilt that each stitch sewn is in itself a prayer.Beanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14484707482492844677noreply@blogger.com
