12/year: really belated

This blog has been sorely neglected lately, so I decided to (belatedly) link up with Barbara's 12/year photo roundup! Most of the pictures were taken on my phone, but at least I've got a few pictures!

In March,
I received an "Honorary Doctorate" for reading to the pre-K when the school celebrated Dr. Seuss's birthday.

I spun a science-fair-mishap into a delicious cookie/brownie combo!

We had much better luck with our second attempt at the science fair cookie recipe! Read all about it--the cookies were terrific!

It snowed--the most snow we got all year.

Little Brother is a Boy Scout now, so he got to help with the Easter Vigil fire. Here's the "before"...

...and the "during." You can't see Father; he's on the other side of the flames.
Alleluia! Easter sunrise.

Was kinda wondering what happened to you. good to see you back. Love the Easter fire. Having a boy scout do the honors is a great example of grace building on nature.

Hi Daria! I've been a bit buried under work projects, then we had Easter vacation...hoping things will calm down now!
It is a tradition in our parish that the Boy Scout troop (sponsored by the Holy Name Society) is in charge of building, lighting, and cleaning up after the Easter fire. The boys all wear their class A uniforms. One of the Eagle Scouts got to do the actual lighting, but Little Brother was part of the occasion. The Scouts do a great job, and, really, who better to do a job like this?
I should be getting that preordered copy of your book soon, I hope!

You have been as quiet as I have been! I'm glad you're back out amongst the world. ;-)
