...that it is not inappropriate to ask, "What would Mary do?" when trying to deal with a problem I am having with my children. I'm sure that would be a good start. Now, if only I could remember to DO that, in the heat of the moment.
Yes, it's always after the fact when that thought comes to me. I suppose that after the fact is better than none, but it sure would be nice if I grew a little more, and asked Mary for her help in the beginning!

Ah, there's the rub. I can never remember to call on her in the heat of it, but I always wind up asking for her help afterwards.
